Not as nice as few years ago beer didn't taste great like the lines needed flushing and food was average for price paid
Called in on spec had a great meal first class food.not been in this place 4 years.enjoyed it very much.
Read reviews so had good expectations. Initial impression was good - nice room & en-suite but then - it went downhill. Bed was very uncomfortable and once we settled, we realised we were in a small attic type room with just a very small velux roof light (room 8) Duvet was tired and used as an eiderdown in that we also had a top-sheet! Going down for Breakfast, we were shown to a place where others had eaten - place mats were not clean and cups had tea stains. We were then told, Weve run out of milk - unbelievable for a hotel! The poached eggs were ok but toast burnt around edges. But then we were left - no one returned to ask if we needed anything, which we did - hot water and toast!!. People were busy in the adjacent kitchen but we were ignored. This place could be so nice but desperately needs attention to the beds, bedding and the staff training. So on balance, would definitely not recommend nor return. Sorry.
Lovely pub, well decorated for Christmas, great food. Nice people. Fab breakfast.
Very good meal. One of the family needs gluten free which they do. Have been going there for years and always been happy with it. Puds to die for the syrup sponge is HUGE (had to share it with hubby)
